Reverend Angelo Berry
Under the leadership of our Pastor of Evangelism, Reverend Angelo Berry, our Evangelism Ministry exists to accomplish our church's ministry purpose of evangelism, that is, to win people to Christ. This ministry team enhances and enriches the ministry of evangelism in the life and mission of the people in this local body of believers. The Evangelism Ministry is comprised of the Foreign Missions, Benevolence, Bereavement, Home & Hospital Visitation, Home Missions and Witnessing teams. All Evangelism Ministry teams plan mission opportunities on a local, state, national and global level, provide training opportunities for members to share their faith with the lost, while working in partnership with other churches, associations, conventions, fellowships or groups whenever possible, thereby maximizing mission efforts.
Reverend Angelo R. Berry is a native of Charles Town, WV. He relocated to the Washington DC area at an early age with his family, graduating from Suitland High School in Suitland, Maryland, where he played varsity basketball and football. Following high school, he entered the University of the District of Columbia on a full athletic scholarship. Reverend Berry served seven years of active military service in the United States Army, traveling extensively throughout his military career to: Missouri, Alabama, Korea, Kansas and Vicenza, Italy.
Reverend Berry began preaching and teaching God's word while serving in the United States Army in Vicenza, Italy. Upon his honorable discharge and return to the United States, he entered East Coast Bible College in Charlotte, NC majoring in Biblical Studies, graduating in May 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Continuing his education, Reverend Berry enrolled in Mountain State University, Beckley WV (Martinsburg, WV campus) in October 2003 and earned his Master of Science Degree in Strategic Leadership in June 2005.
Reverend Berry has served as the Superintendent of Sunday School in Vicenza, Italy, Assistant Pastor of Tabernacle of Deliverance Church of God in Gastonia, North Carolina, Pastor of Youth and Christian Education at the historic Dudley Baptist Church of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Pastor of Youth at Destiny Church in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Reverend Berry currently serves as the Pastor of Evangelism at The New Macedonia Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, Reverend Patrick J. Walker. At New Macedonia, Pastor Berry is responsible for the oversight of the church's Evangelism Ministry, in addition, to the management of the church's member services team - Connection Partners Ministry.
Reverend Berry has been blessed with three wonderful children, Donnell Macio, Calvin Lewis, and Ja'Leesa Ann Berry.
